Inside the minds: Child Molesters

“Molesters Do Not Wear an Ugly Mask. They Wear A Shield of Trust.”

Yesterday's Oprah Winfrey Show was disgusting. It was hard to watch those nasty monster's up there talking about their prey, trying to apologize for their actions but I wasn't buying it. Maybe it's because I once was a victim myself 11 years ago.
I don't believe any of them when they said they didn't think they were causing any harm to those children...those molesters(I will not call them men) are so manipulative and cautious about their actions but yet they don't believe it's causing any harm..bull crap!

I was bothered most by Darren, the father of a 12 year old daughter who he has sexual fantasies about. He admits having an obsession with her, mostly when she sleeps. That's when the first occurrence started..she was sleeping and he touched her. She woke up and said "Don't do this, you're my dad." It astonishes and puzzles me why a father, whom should love and protect his child could be so harmful and take her innocence away from her.

Although I believe Lee, the 65 year old "grandpa" was the most creepiest. You could tell he was very conniving and was "good" at what he did.
His victim was a 5 year old little girl, whom considered him to be like a grandpa to her. Lee begin performing oral sex on her, and touching her. He would tell her "if you tell anyone, you will get in trouble." He said how much she loved him and didn't want to do that.

Here are some statistics and warning signs about sexual predators:

* 90% know their victims.
* 1 out of 3 girls will be sexually assaulted by age 18.
* A predator will spend more time with children then he will with adults.
* They look for a needy child.
* Their goal is to make the victim feel good so it brings sexual pleasure to them too.

I think communities need to be more informed about child predators moving in the area, well what I really believe is they should never be let out of a supervised facility. I believe they will always be a predator to children, it's an "illness" that can not be medicated for or getting better through any type of therapy.
They'll always have a desire for children, the weak, the innocent, frightened child.

Being sexually assaulted changes who you are FOREVER.
It kills your spirit.

Not me Monday!

Welcome to Not me Monday! Where you can confess all your wrong doings and embarrassing moments!

Where to begin..I'm always not doing something I shouldn't! ha!

I made Valentine's cookies with Taylor and I did not eat almost 10 of them! I wouldn't!

I'm not suppose to have alcohol so I did not have a glass of wine or a couple captains...of course I didn't! I didn't get sucked into peer pressure! I am smarter then that!

Having sympathy for JJ for having to wake up at 4:30am every morning I did not make him get up with the girls' Saturday morning...no, I am not that shady! I love him too much to make him have to get up with them! He needs a break too!

I did not just give my whinny child a pen to write with so I can finish this, if she asked for pen I would tell her "no" and wouldn't finish this post...obviously! DUHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Five Question Friday!

Hallelujah!
It's Friday, and I absolutely look forward to that...it's our time to spend as a family! Although I'm not really ready for the 15+ guest list that will be over tomorrow..I have so much to do! But it'll be fun to meet some of JJ's buddies that I haven't gotten the chance to meet yet(from his new job.) And I'll get to catch up with some old friends, whoooooaaaaa! :D'

Alright question time...ENJOY!

1. What are you most afraid of? Death. I've became so obsessed with the thought of it, especially lately. I guess that contributes to my anxiety. I am such a cautious person, it's annoying!

2. Do you use a flat iron or curling iron? Now with my shorter haircut if I don't spiral my hair I need to use a flat iron, so it's either or depending on the day and style I am going for.

3. Hands-free or phone to the ear? phone to the ear. Which I have pledged on Oprah.com that I wouldn't text anymore while driving, I am now trying to cut back while talking on the phone while driving. It is soooo hard to do, really. It's a hard addiction to kick, harder then quitting smoking...BTW it's been a little over 2 years for me since I've smoked a ciggy! :o)

4. Do you have a matching bedroom set? Yes, but unfortunately I did not get to go with to pick it out and I don't like the light wood oak look. period. for any type of furniture. I like cherry or black. And hope to change it up soon because our bedroom is my least favorite room when really it should be my favorite, right?!

5. Do you believe in the paranormal? Absolutely! Maybe too much..I'm not going to go into a whole lot of detail but I actually just had my first encounter with what I think was paranormal, I am NOT crazy! HAHAHA!
Seriously though, about a month ago I was in the kitchen putting dishes away from the dishwasher and all of a sudden a couple coins fell off from the top of the refrigerator, not just fell but almost like the scrapped off, IDK....scared the crap out of me, I screamed and JJ and the girls came running in to see what had happened! LOL
Sadly, about 2 months ago one of my ex boyfriends had been killed and I often wonder if that was him..I know I sound like a freak but I've never had anything paranormal happen to me but I just feel he's here..it's a bit scary and I haven't told anyone until now about the occurences that are happening, not a lot but enough to spook me out! :P

Eyeballs

We have these sticky eyeballs leftover from Halloween and they are the girls' favorite thing EVER! More so Piper...it is just a riot watching her pull eyeballs off the ceiling! And people are just as entertained watching her do so! LOL

Mama is too short to help her reach for them so it's all on daddy to get her up there! As soon as daddy starts unlocking and opening the door from work..Piper is right there saying "hi daddy..eyeballs!" It's everyday, she says the same thing it is totally a routine for her. I will have to catch it on video to edit it to this post..I just get a kick out of it all! :P
And as she's pulling the eyeballs down she counts..1, 2, 3...the eyeballs were an effective way to get her to be able to count! I highly recommend them! ;)

Gee I really love you

“Waiting is a trap. There will always be reasons to wait. The truth is, there are only two things in life, reasons and results, and reasons simply don't count."

Obviously a lot of people are interested and curious as to why JJ and I haven't tied the knot yet. We're going on 7 years in May..which in some states it is considered "common law" marriage where I would have all the rights a wife does! :o)

So back to why we're not married yet. Well I'm not exactly sure to be honest. I mean we've done a lot of things backwards in life, having our first child while in high school caused a lot of stress and responsibility for us at such a young age. We weren't worried about getting married right away, we just needed to focus on starting our life as new parents and be successful for our daughter.
To be completely honest I rarely brought up marriage with him for the first 3 years, for some reason it wasn't a priority for me! But then I started realizing it was important to be married for our daughters sake..and now even more so it's been driving me crazy to get engaged but I know better then to nag on him about it!
I'll let him do his thing and hopefully I'll see a ring soon, better be this year!
It has to be this year, I truly believe it! ;)

Anyways, I guess that kind of sums it up..it's not much but it is OUR reasoning..we have a lot of love for each other and I can't wait for our day to vow our commitment together!

Gustavus & Uranus

Gusties will shine!

Auntie Lindsay took us on an adventure today! Exhausting(chasing a 1 year old around campus is enough exercise for a few days) but it was fun!

After a little running around we went into the cafeteria, which was neat...I mean, I've been there a few times in the past for my church retreats but getting a real feel of college life is interesting, yet a little sad I didn't get to have that experience, well I have Riverland and US Career Institute but that's not the big life like Gustavus...I actually could see myself there or could..it's pretty much impossible now. So we'll just continue to visit Auntie and take advantage of all the school as to offer! The girls' favorite was the yummies...

....and mommy's favorite..

After some more running around campus, buying some new Gustavus apparel, checking out Lindsay's new dorm room we headed home...we got home at Taylor's bedtime which meant a very quick snack and to read a book.
Well...she made a very interesting choice in her reading material, I'm guessing her teacher gave a little chuckle when she helped Taylor check this book out to bring home...good lordy, I know I had more then a chuckle!

Uranus facts:

*Uranus is four times larger than Earth.

*Uranus is a big ball of clouds, gases, and liquid.

* Uranus is called a gas giant.

*Uranus has 11 dark rings around it.

*Uranus does not have a solid surface.

*People could not walk on Uranus.

*For further laughs check out my video/narrating of "Uranus" on facebook!
Enjoy! :o)

Not me Monday!

..For some reason I thought by having my kids 4 yrs. apart that it would be a lot easier..I thought Taylor would be more helpful and tell me when Piper was getting into something she wasn't suppose to be in! Obviously I don't expect my 5 year to take on my role but you know it's like "Taylor, when you see Piper digging in the cat dish and eating cat food you need to get her out of there or tell me" but no..she sits there and laughs at Piper for doing it...UGHHHHHHHH! Although I joke to JJ, saying maybe that's why her hair has grown so fast! HAHAHA!

As a mother I have many imperfections and am guilty for doing many things, even more so by not doing certain things...No, I did not give my 17 month old puppy chow to keep her quiet while mama tried to watch her show! Not me!

Laying in bed the other day really not wanting to get up AT ALL.. I did not see Taylor run up the stairs with a bag of Doritos's into her bedroom for breakfast..nope, I did not!

And I certainly do not allow my 5 year old to pick out her own clothes and wear them out in public looking like she came from the circus and then have to chuckle at her, noooooo I wouldn't!

Love will keep us together
