I honestly just had to look in my planner to check what day it was..Wednesday. That's how stressed I am! Where do I even begin?!
Alright, let's start with Monday..I had two interviews for a nursing position last week, well the supervisor called and said there was someone more suitable for the position but he had a different position available for me...Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays..night shift...I want a life, thanks anyways.
Tuesday, I call the law firm I use to work at to see if they had any openings available for me..yes they do but only in the mailroom...I know I need to go back to work and that I should take what is offered to me but I had a little incident in the mailroom when I worked there last summer...it was such a stressful job and that's when my first panic attack happened..and ever since I've been on 3 different medications to help with my anxiety. So skip that job opprutunity, plus it's second shift and I need to be with my kids, I would pretty much only see Taylor for an hour a day and then on the weekends..I could never do that! :/
Well..yesterday I had an appt. at Rasmuseen College to speak with a counselor about starting school..well, I'm proud to say I am all signed up and ready to start May 10th! It's so surreal! I knew I wanted to go to college but having my oldest daughter a month after I graduated high school was very challenging and to try to go to school on top of that just seemed impossible..I tried cosmetology school..ended up a beauty school dropout. Then I did the CNA thing...not for me!
Anyways, now it's truly happening and I need to focus and stay motivated to get through the next 4 yrs. of this journey..yes, 4 yrs. of school...ughhh! I'm going for my bachelor's in healthcare management..it's 180 credits and if I haul ass I could get it done in 3 1/2 yrs! positive thinking!
So, amongest all the school and job stuff..yesterday was a HORRIBLE day for us!
Long story short, my grandpa bought us a van a couple months ago and we didn't get a choice in the vehicle that we wanted so we just accepted whatever he gave us..well it ended up being a Dodge Caravan..I'm just not a van type of girl AT ALL. No offense to any of you who have a van! :P
So...we told him we didn't want it anymore so he traveled 5 hours yesterday to come and pick it up..and asked for the title...my sister and I searched my house for about 2 hours yesterday trying to find it..no such luck! So, it's going to make it complicated for him and possibly cost a pretty penny to try and see if he can get a dupicate...I felt horrible!
Well, then this is where it gets really bad..while my sister and I are inside searching for the damn title, I hear a bloody murder type of screaming..I immediately run outside to the back yard and see Taylor's face covered in blood, clots the size of quarters coming out from her nose..she was too shaken up to tell me what happened, I try to calm her down, wipe her face..and then my sister starts noticing Taylor is getting black bags under her eyes, her nose is starting to swell..and she suggests we go to the Dr. STAT...it looks like a broken nose. I question it and say let's just get her cleaned up and see how bad it really is..maybe we can hold off. A minute later and I'm saying "let's go!" She looks just horrible..we get to urgent care, yada yada yada..the doctor couldn't tell if it's broken or not because it's so swollen so we need to go back in 2 days so they are able to check it out again. I'm really hoping it's not broken..because if it is..that means they are going to have to re break it..5 year old plus any of type of breakage= trauma!!! :/
Oh, it's not the end to our Tuesday!
So, I'm in the kitchen cleaning up from supper..I honestly have nooo idea how it happened...but I dropped a 2 pound ceramic bowl on my toe..I dropped to the floor and BAWLED!!!!!!! Let me just say, before you go calling me a whimp! ha! I've gotten tattoos, piercings, donated blood, and giving birth twice completely natural with no pain medication..I have a high tolerance for pain, I usually just suck it up and deal.
Well, this pain was excruciating..throbbing, stabbing type pain just radiated through my entire body...I am not kidding..all this pain from a little toe!
I was in soooo much pain for the rest of the night..then before bed I noticed it was completely black and blue..I googled what a broken toe looks like, I had no idea..well I self diagnoised myself because my toe was discolored the way a broken toe looked like, I had all the "symptoms" of a broken toe, I can't even walk on it or put on a shoe! I got about 3 hours of sleep last night because the pain was that bad..what a day, aye!!!!!!!!
It's like 75 degrees outside and here we are stuck inside b/c of our injuries, LOL.
LOVELY.
