Five question Friday.

Once again, I am way late on this. But Happy friday! We've got a super busy weekend ahead of us and I should actually be in bed instead of on here! :P




1. Are you looking forward to the time change this weekend? Ehhh. I'm not looking forward to losing sleep and for the kids to be off track in their routine, that's gonna suck.
However, I am looking forward to spend the days/nights outside longer this summer..it's so nice being able to play outside until 9pm!


2. Are you getting the new iPad/would you want a iPad? No...I honestly have no interest. I'm not a big technology person, I mean I LOVE my laptop and phone, but that's all I need! I don't get into all the hype..all the kindle, ipad, iphone...not for me! I like reading books the old school way...not on a light up screen. My phone and laptop serve just a good enough purpose as an ipad would!


3. If money was not a problem, what is the one thing you would splurge on?
A house, nothing spectacular. Just a little above average is all we need. We seriously need an upgrade around here!!
And then maybe a couple new vehicles to be parked in the new garage as well!!


4. How did you and the Mr. (or Mrs.) meet? high school. I was a junior, he was a senior. It was science class to be offical...were we first laid eyes on each other! ;)
I'm too tired to type up the whole story, although it is pretty cute! :P


5. Summer is right around the corner. Bikini or one-piece? hahaha. oh gawwwdddd. my bikini days are long over. My kids have ruined my body horribly. No hard feelings tho! I love those little munchkins more then anything and they were worth all of it!! :D

Happy Friday!! This is going to be a crummy weekend already, I can feel it!

I've had to keep my oldest home from school the last 2 days because she's running a fever and what not, my youngest is sick because of teething, I'm sure! And the other child...ughhhh...well I'm dealing with a crabby, not wanting to sleep or do much of anything because she decided to stick a qtip in her ear, therefore punctured it..ughhhh.
Plus, I'm dealing with a double ear infection AND sinus infection. It's misery around here...anyone care to trade places for the weekend?! ha!
Okay...the pity party is OVER!! :P

Onto the questions..yayyy!!



1. What do you do when you are really upset to calm yourself down?
Uhhh, it depends...usually a shower/bath and locking myself in my bedroom with a book always seems to do the trick! Unless it's something major, then I'll call a friend or family..


2. Do you go all out for V-day or is it just another day? yeah, we kind of go all out around here!
I grew up celebrating ALL holidays with a bang, my mom loves to celebrate and spoil us, so when we woke up on Vday she'd always have a nice breakfast made and then we'd get to open our vday presents...so then when JJ and I had kids and I started doing things for vday, he thought it was the weirdest thing buying our kids presents...he thinks it's only for lovers...it's a day to celebrate with ALL your love ones I tell him! :P


3. Are you more or less productive when Hubs is away?
pahahaha...really?! Wayyyyy less productive while he's away!! Then about an hour before he's due home from work I scrabble around the house to clean, get the dishes done, and to start supper!
And of course when he's home I make it look like I slave all day around here..well, I really do...it's not like I get to sit around all day!


4. What is your favorite time of day and why? I'm def. not a morning person...I like the night! 7-8pm is usually my favorite time...IDK why...just seems calm around here during that time!


5. What is your go to karaoke song? Uhhhhh, I like "I love rock n roll!" I can get done with that one!! ;)

Funny, while the girls were watching their shows on Nick Jr. today they all called it "love day" and not Valentine's Day...wonder why?! Religion??

We all had a wonderful holiday today, probably one of our better Vday's!
My mom came over and dropped off our Valentine's presents, which is always exciting...she always gets us the best stuff! :P

My grandparents sent the girls cards with $$, as they're in Texas for the winter..snow birds, soooo lucky!!

And then we waited til daddy got home from work to give the girls their presents from us!
We didn't really get them a whole lot this year, knowing they were already getting enough PLUS they were way spoiled for Christmas this year and definitely don't need any toys for awhile!
I made a nice little Valentine's meal..the kids' favorite, JJ's too!
Breakfast for supper! That one never fails, plus it was fun to create it for the festivities! :P


JJ surprised me, after being together for almost 9 years now he's starting to figure out things to NOT get me and things he knows I'll love!

I absolutely hate roses...I think they're ugly, overly used, and expensive.
If he wants to get me flowers I tell him get me some wild flowers from a field or something...don't buy me flowers EVER!

I love chocolate, it's my favorite food, ha...so that's always a smart choice!

He knows makeup, hair products, purses, crafts, and clothes are my favorite...and he every once in awhile will surprise me with those things, but he's always so unsure..but he does have great taste and knows what I like, style wise!
But he stayed away from that for my gift today and got me a 1 month unlimited tanning, & lotion....ahhhhhhh! That guy is amazing!!! Seriously, I was soooo shocked on how well he did with that idea!!! It's been forever since I've been in a tanning bed, I'm sooooo excited to start back up again!!!

Five Question Friday.

..Gosh, I always do these sooooo late or just forget all together..errr!
Anyways, it's the weekend and I'm pretty happy about that...that means daddy is home and I get a break, well..a break to maybe make supper with some assistance or something, or to be able to go pee without a child needing to come to the bathroom with me, or just run to the store to pretend I need something just so I can get away! ha. Yeah, the things I look forward to! ;)

Alright, here's the questions:


1. How often do you shave your legs in the winter? Uhhh, I know it's time to shave 'em when my 3 year old says "oh no mama, you have owey pricklies!"
But it's winter and I can get away with it, for a bit! :P


2. Valentine's Day cards for your spouse: funny or romantic?
I depends..I don't go to the store looking for a particular card, it's just whatever I'm in the mood for, usually funny...the first few years of our relationship was all the sappy romance stuff, now we like to find humor in it all!


3. What are you most looking forward to about spring? Just the fact that winter will be over! However, I live in Minnesota and we honestly have no had a winter..quite freaky actually! We're so use to subzero temps, blizzards, school cancelations, ice fishing...we don't have of it!


4. What's your favorite way to pamper yourself? Hair. Getting my hair done is when I feel my absolute best! But I don't mind getting my nails done, a massage, some retail therapy! ;)


5. Does your tax return go into savings or do you spend it instantly? Pssshh! What return?! We don't get to indulge like a lot of people...we usually break even or bring in a bit...maybe with a new baby this year we'll get a bit more back..but not counting on it!

Five Question Friday!

..Happy Friday! Although it's not too happy around here in our household today. Everyone is crabby and just out of sorts.
Sent Tay off to school today and I get a call 30 minutes later that she's in nurse's office with a headache and puking, she came home and slept for 5 hours..the poor girl is just sleep deprived and exhausted..I should have known involving her in too much was going to catch up to her.
So now the poor girl had to miss her cheerleading lock in tonight, I'm so upset for her, broke my heart...but that's life!

Anyways, on to the questions:



1. What have you done recently that you are proud of?
Ummm...is it pathetic if I say I've been keeping up with the households tasks a lot lately?! ha! I feel like I'm in that nesting stage, ya know...in the last few weeks of pregnancy and you want to prepare your house for the new baby and all the visitors...yeah, that's how I'm feeling!


2. What is your favorite way to work out? Or if you don't workout, what are you wanting to try?
I HATE working out on machinery, I like the good ole fashion going for walks, swimming, riding bike, and playing volleyball...fun things!


3. If you knew you best friend was cheating on spouse would you tell?
Ya know...I've been in this situation before and it's one of the hardest positions to be faced with....you've got to weigh out the "risks" and being an honest person...but in my case I kept quiet because I didn't want to stir things up and seem like the bad person.
I just didn't want the drama.


4. If you could afford a live-in maid or nanny, would you have one?
TOTALLY would have a maid, although as above question..I'm really actually enjoying cleaning and organizing these days, but I doubt that'll last forever! ha!
Our house is pretty small but all the dusting that could be done and to have spotless bathrooms would be nice! :D


5. Do you stress out about birthdays (specifically the age) or do you enjoy them?
Nahhhh, I don't really stress or dwell on my birthdays but I will admit they aren't as exciting now after I've turned 21. And now that I'm gonna be 26 and that's 4 more years closer to 30, that seems a bit depressing..I don't like to think about that! :/
I was just thinking the other day...I feel like I'm aging so fast but my mom isn't, I mean she was a teen mom when she had me, so she's pretty young, she's 43 yrs. old...so when I'm 30, she'll only be 47 yrs old! Crazy! That gets to me a bit!



Bonus: Lights off or on? hahaha, well...it depends if I'm going to bed with or without makeup on and my hair done or wet in a towel from showering before bed! LOL :P

{Ann Bean Mansion}

In the almost 9 years that JJ & I have been together we have BARELY gotten away on our own without any kids and it was really needed, especially after just having our third baby! Woofta!!

We needed to escape somewhere calm, cozy, quiet, a nice retreat from chaos which lead me to find this beautiful Bed & Breakfast.
I was pretty much sold on the place within the first 5 minutes of reading the reviews on it, it has won for one of the top B&B's in the USA so I knew we had to check it out, it was exactly what we were looking for, for a getaway!
And they are known for having the best breakfast around!
I have to agree, best breakfast I've ever had! Amazing!

{When we checked in, we were greeted by one of the Innkeepers and were served our choice of a glass of wine or a glass of home brew beer!}



{And had this basket full of goodies waiting for us as well! You know, for midnight snackin'..which I still do, as if I'm pregnant...I swear I snack more now that I'm nursing then when I did when I was pregnant!}

~We had such a wonderful time here, I'd love to go back! Not only was the mansion a marvelous place to stay, the historic town was beautiful...if you're in the area I highly recomend a stay at the Ann Bean Mansion! Heck, it's worth a drive even if you're not in the area! :P

{Minnesnowta}

..Brrrrrrr! We finally have our Minnesota weather that we're suppose to have this time of year! It's crazy that we've been in the 40's for the months of December & January, now we've finally got some snow too!
My kids love it, they claim winter is their favorite...meh. How are they my kids?! LOL...I absolutely HATE winter, seriously...I think seasonal depression kicks in for me around November until April.
Why I live in Minnesota then you ask?! Well, it's where I was born and raised and if we moved, I'd be so homesick from my friends and family, so the California weather where I'd love to move to someday, wouldn't be worth it unless my entire family could come as well!

Why am I talking about the weather..haha, sheesh. I'm old.

Five Question Friday!

Happy Friday! It's a cold and snowy day here in Minnesota..the girls & I are staying in today doing some baking and crafty projects...my favorite!!

1. Where do you hide the reeeally good snacks? In the cupboards where the girls can't reach, well couldn't reach..now they have figured out how to pull a chair up to the counter and climb on up...errr!


2. Do u keep your vehicle clean or am I the only one who has things falling out of their van?
It's usually pretty clean, lots of papers when I check the mail and don't bring it in right away so it gets piled up in the front middle console, then of course the girls bring blankies and toys out there every time we leave to go somewhere and they usually don't bring it all inside..and we lack majorly on keeping it vacuumed so there's a lot of sand in there now...:/


3. Have you ever been to Vegas? Nope and I don't have any desire to either. It's not my thing...don't like all the commotion, hate gambling, and the sleezy part of it doesn't spike an interest in me either!


4. Warm room light blankets or cold room warm snuggly blanket? Hhhmmm. I love to snuggle up...so I'd say cold room with warm blankets, pile 'em on!


5. What is the worst airplane/flying experience you've ever had? I've never had a bad experience on a plane...although I have major anxiety with it, it went pretty smoothly!

Dun Dun Da Dun..

...Have I mentioned on here that I'm a bride to be?!
I'm not sure if I have or not, I suppose I could go check...but I'll skip the 10 seconds it'll take me, ha!

Anyways, we became engaged in May..didn't do any wedding planning until about Sunday when I went to a bridal fair and it all hit me. Holy overwhelimg! :/
I mean, it really is exciting...but I didn't really realize how much stuff needs to be planned and bought for a wedding, there were a lot of hidden details that I hadn't figured out until just recently.

We met with our DJ yesterday, well we haven't technically booked him yet as we're still debating the dates..there's a few obsticles with the 10.20.12 wedding I had wanted..a few of the vendors that I want are booked that day, so I would have to find someone else and I'm not sure I want to do that and secondly we then chose to do 11.10.12 because apparently October is the most popular month for weddings and I definitely don't want that..I hate to be doing what everyone else is doing, it annoys me!
So, as we went to meet with the DJ yesterday, which by the way...he is amazing, I seriously couldn't imagine having someone else for the entertainment at our wedding...he is great, JJ and I both just instantly felt that chemistry with him!
He's not just an ordinary DJ, he's also kind of a wedding planner as well..since he's been around the US and goes to annual conventions in Las Vegas for weddings, so he knows what's going on and what needs to be done for weddings and what we should stay away from!
He gave me a lot of good advice yesterday, I can't talk enough about him..ha! He's a great guy!

Anyways, be prepared for a lot of wedding talk and planning on here...I'm sure people are getting annoyed with all my talk about it, but if you've been in my position before you can relate, it's a super exciting time!!!

Oh, BTW! I wrote my vows last night..haha, yeah..IDK! I was just in wedding mode, feeling all emotional and what not, figured what better time to do so...it all came from the heart, like it's suppose to!
Am I suppose to keep them a surprise to JJ until the big day? Hahaha, IDK how this stuff works..I just know I wanted us to write our own so I got a jump start on that....only about 12 million more things to do and it should all be about done! :/

Ahhhhh, Friday is here! The weekend has just begun and I'm soooo exhausted already.
Gonna make this a quick one!!!


1. What's the last thing you bought for yourself? I just went shopping today to Ulta, the beauty store...omg, how I love that store! I could spend hours in there!
I bought quite a few things there today, my sister got me a gift card for Christmas, mighty nice of her!! ;)


2. What is your favorite meal on a cold winter day?
Comfort food, soups, chili...I use my crockpot a lot during the cold months, at least twice a week.

3. Have you started looking at swimsuits for this year & do you buy a new one every year?
pshhhhh! Noooooo! I've been wearing the same swimsuit for 3 years now, it's black, classy, and covers me up...and I like it that way! No need to buy a new one anytime soon, well unless I lose weight of course, that would be nice!!!

4. If you could be any candy, what would you be & why?
Ummm...never thought of being candy, don't want to...but I'll say that chocolate is my favorite, so I guess that's my answer!

5. What are you most passionate about?
Ohhh jeeezzzz, let's see..I've got a lot of passion for my family..but that's obvious!
I'm passionate about pro life, world peace, crafts, breastfeeding..I'm sure I could list a few other things that I have a lot of passion for!


Alright, gotta round these kids up and throw them in the bath, well not literally! :P
